update 3/4/2026
I am currently involved in several projects that I will try to summarise on this page, based on the nownow format.
My main activity
I design and develop websites with WordPress. Much of that work involves gamification solutions or creating custom plugins to extend and adapt WordPress features for video games. I work with Iñaki Huarte at Ouiplay and we work on projects like these:
My schedule is currently closed to new clients.
Cultural management and production
With the associations Imajoven Alicante and Comunica-Acción I organise the following events:
- DIVULGACINE, a competition on audiovisual outreach now in its 8th edition.
- Retrokult Fest, Alicante’s retro film festival now in its 5th edition.
- Alicante Premiere Fest, now in its 2nd edition.
- Cineclub Mediterráneo de Imajoven, held at both the Centro Municipal de las Artes in Alicante and Kinépolis in the Kinefórum section.
- Video game club “Let’s Play & Talk”, which I organise together with the Instituto Alicantino de Cultura Juan Gil Albert.
Every week, together with Luis López Belda, I write a newsletter about film and TV series where we also announce film-related events we organise in Alicante.
Podcasts I produce and/or participate in
Publishing and illustration
Also with Luis, I co-founded the publishing house Esplendor en la quiebra. We publish a yearly book summarising the most important films released in Spain.
I contributed to the essay collections on Blue Velvet and Pulp Fiction published by Amarcord alongside many people I admire, such as Carlos Marañón, Elisa McCausland, Pepa Blanes, etc. I designed the covers and created the illustrations accompanying the interior articles.
Educator
I am a guest lecturer at the Permanent University of the University of Alicante (UPUA), teaching courses on cinema and women such as “Learning to watch cinema with the greatest female directors in history” and “Learning to watch cinema: The villains of the film”, on female stereotypes in cinema.
I also taught UX/UI and WordPress at the Social Media Expert programme at the University of Alicante until the 2025/26 academic year.
Events I used to organise
In Alicante I was involved in tech community groups:
The groups are still active, but due to family reasons I have had to delegate the organisation. Events are held at Ulab Coworking in Alicante.
What I’m learning and/or doing new in 2026
- I am learning to develop in Godot as I have plans to make two video games: one called “Two For The Couch”, a diverse conversational roguelike, and an RPG called “Confetti Battle” set around the Cádiz Carnival. I enrolled in the Godot course at Stega Academy — highly recommended.
- I am learning pixel art specifically to develop these games. The YouTube channel that has taught me the most is Brandon James Greer‘s.
- I apply to every public cultural project call I can in order to carry out a project aligned with my values.
- For the 2026/27 academic year I would like to start studying a Philosophy degree, at my own pace, without rushing.
- I just finished a creative documentary training programme with RTVE, which pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me create new audiovisual work. I am about to start one on fiction screenwriting.
- At some point I want to do a PhD.
Social media and things I enjoy
- Films and series, my log on Letterboxd.
- I follow Choquejuergas as a true fan and the Marta Trivi Twitch channel.
- Video games, my log on Backloggd. I listen daily to the Anait Games podcasts and the Chiclana and Friends Twitch stream.
- Books and reading, with a particular focus on essays on dissenting culture and thought. The occasional novel too. My log on The StoryGraph (not very up to date).
- I love video essay YouTube channels — so much so that it’s what I’d like to do next if I can prioritise the time. Here are my current favourites:
- I keep up with current affairs through the Cuellilargo newsletter.
- I really enjoy Juan Sanguino’s podcasts.
- I follow Cádiz CF, Hércules CF and Real Madrid. Yes, I am a left-wing Madridista. We exist.
- I do functional training twice a week.
- I go to therapy once a month.
